Episode 01 - Let’s Get It Started
Hello folks!
O objetivo deste podcast é o de ensinar gírias (slangs) e expressões idiomáticas em inglês através de músicas para brasileiros.
Para isso, é necessário que você já tenha um conhecimento básico da língua inglesa.
Neste primeiro post, estaremos falando sobre o verbo começar (start) e algumas derivações.

Tópicos: To start (começar) –> sinônimo: to begin
Ex: Tina wanted to paint the whole apartment and she decided to start with the kitchen. (Tina queria pintar o apartamento todo e decidiu começar com a cozinha).
To start up (acionar, ligar) –> sinônimo: To turn on
To get down to something (finalmente fazer algo depois de ter evitado, ou de alguém ter-lhe dito para não fazê-lo)
Ex: Come on Bill – it’s time you got down to some homework! (Vamos, Bill - é hora de você fazer alguma tarefa de casa!)
To get started (Começar algo, como uma jornada ou uma aventura, especialmente algo que levará um longo tempo).

Hi Nathan, I visited your site random, and I had good times there. My english is basic!
of course I listen to Pod Cast every days for improve than. I started at first episode and now am at ten episode.
